2025 : New products
New again! We are now offering products from Legrand, a leading brand in the circuit breaker market. Our goal is to provide you with all the products you need for your projects.
2024 WEB SHOP improvement
In order to continuously improve your customer experience, we have invested in more powerful tools for managing items. Technical data, inventory and user management have all been enhanced. Everything has been enhanced in the new version of our web shop. We have also implemented the ETIM standard for item management.
2019 - 2023 the rise of datacenters
The growth of this sector has created new opportunities for us. We supply products and services to some of the largest data centres in Switzerland. Our experienced team has also carried out design and installation work on some of these major projects. Building on these successes, we are opening another project management company specialising in prefabricated pipelines at the end of 2023.
2015 - 2018, New products and Web SHOP
We have decided to work with a new partner to expand our “energy distribution” range. The energy rail (CEP) complements our offering with over 25,000 references. To support you in your projects, we offer turnkey solutions for installing this new product. In 2018, our shop finally opened its doors. 10,000 items are available via a new computer system.
2014, Product development.
After two years of development, we launched a range of Class H products for lightning protection in 2014.
The AMSG50 is our flagship product, designed to protect against stray current (leakage) and suppress electromagnetic fields (EMF).
2012, Evolution of society.
We are continuing to expand our warehouse in order to keep pace with developments and meet the logistical challenges we face. Our storage space will then increase to 700m2. Together with our partners, we currently have more than 17,500 items that meet the requirements of the Swiss market.
2010, Lightning protection Monte Rosa
Thanks to the DYNASPHERE SYSTEM 3000, Amperio is the first to offer a certified lightning protection solution for altitudes above 2,800 meters. (nVent ERICO).
We have also purchased over 200 square meters of storage space to ensure fast delivery to our customers.
2009, Launch of Amperio GmbH
Mr. Schneider acquired the company in 2009 and renamed it Amperio GmbH. Based in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland, Amperio is located in the industrial zone of the city of Morat. Amperio offers energy distribution, connection, and safety products and solutions for properties and people.
WHERE IT STARTED
2003, company founded
The company's history began in 2003.
At that time, Emile Koch, an electrical engineer and former ERICO B.V. employee, decided to start his own business in the field of lightning protection.
Why is ERICO an important part of Amperio's history?
Mr. Koch maintained good contacts with the parent company and continued to work closely with it. Mr. Schneider, the current owner of Amperio, was ERICO's sales manager for German-speaking countries, including Switzerland, at the time.
Through the business relationship between the two companies, Mr. Koch unwittingly found his successor. After working in this field his entire career, Mr. Koch was ready to retire.
